FEAR is a normal physiological reaction necessary for survival.

Though many forms of fear exist, eventually, types of fear fall into two groups.

  • One: Triggered by our knowledge and awareness, for example, We know that reckless driving can cause a lot of trouble and often affect others badly.
  • Two: Phobias caused by overreacting to the unknown prompt us to overthink and predict a negative outcome. What triggers these? Our education, experience and upbringing are typical factors.

So, it is only sometimes justified and reasonable. Sometimes this mechanism plays against us. It's a feature of our mind. Sometimes fear can get in our way, and we should fight it.

How to overcome fears?

  1. FEEL YOUR FEAR - Fear doesn't disappear just because you ignore it. Accepting fear is the first step toward overcoming it. If you miss fear, it only increases.
  2. EXAMINE THE OBJECT OF THE FEAR. Fear of the unknown is one of the most potent fears. Find out as much as you can about what scares you. For example, if you are afraid of flying, compare the statistics of accidents in different modes of transport, and then it will become clear that the plane is safe.
  3. STOP NEGATIVE THOUGHTS. When we fear something, our imagination draws the most unpleasant scenarios. Try to shift your focus and replace evil thoughts with positive ones.
  4. BREATHE DEEPER. Start breathing slowly and deeply to overcome fear and relieve anxiety quickly. This will increase the flow of oxygen to the brain.
  5. ASK QUESTIONS. How realistic is the threat? What do you need to do to avoid an undesirable development? How bad could you feel if your worst fears come true? The more you know about your anxiety, the easier it will be to control it.
  6. THINK ABOUT A PLAN OF ACTION. Most fears are irrational. They keep us in one place and make us miss out on exciting opportunities. Plan your activities in advance in case the fear comes true.
  7. PRACTICE MORE OFTEN. Gradual and repeated interaction with the object you are afraid of helps defeat fear.
  8. SOCIAL ENVIRONMENT. Surround yourself with people with whom your fear does not trigger a panic state; this is good for the brain, thereby updating its knowledge of danger.

Finally!

DETERMINATION AND ACTION. These are the two fundamental ideas that will help you to deal with any fear.

  • Make the decision that you will learn a new profession and take the first step - sign up for training.
  • Decide to be more open and uninhibited and go dancing or vocal school, etc.

BE Fearless, BE YOU!
